EV Series Skimmer & Water Feature Pump

PondMAX Skimmer & Water Feature Pumps are suitable for a wide range of applications, including skimmers, water features, aquatic systems, and hydroponics.

Each pump has a single moving part (an impeller), enabling easy cleaning and maintenance. The anti-clog impeller design helps maintain consistent flow in debris-heavy areas, such as skimmers and open water features. A threaded intake connection also allows the pump to be paired with an optional pre-filter, helping reduce maintenance and protect the pump from larger debris.

Models EV700–EV3600 feature SMART MAG™ motor protection, which analyzes the speed and torque of the motor. SMART MAG™ intelligent circuitry provides a soft start to help avoid sudden jolting and adjusts the motor speed to maximize water flow under the given conditions. If the impeller becomes jammed or stops, the circuitry automatically detects the blockage, cuts power for 3 seconds, and then attempts to restart the pump. This procedure repeats up to 3 times. If the rotor remains jammed, the pump enters a prolonged low-power state until it is turned off and appropriate maintenance is performed. This helps minimize motor burnout caused by electrical heat resulting from insufficient water flow through the motor.

The motor and electrical components are fully encapsulated in epoxy resin, ensuring safe operation underwater. Skimmer & Water Feature Pumps also rely on water for cooling and lubrication, eliminating the need for harmful oil or grease.

PondMAX Skimmer & Water Feature Pumps are rated for continuous duty and designed to operate 24/7. The EV Series can be installed submerged or used externally in an inline flooded-suction setup, giving pond owners and installers greater flexibility in system design. Models EV1800 and larger may be installed horizontally or vertically for easier placement in tight or custom applications.
