PondMAX PS300 In-Pond Skimmer is a submersible pond skimmer designed to remove leaves and other floating debris from the pond surface without cutting the pond liner. Its telescoping design supports installation across a range of pond depths, while the floating sleeve accommodates up to 6 in. of water-level fluctuation.
The PS300 is rated for up to 300 sq. ft. of pond surface area and operates with a recommended pump flow of 1,500–4,000 GPH.

PondMAX PS300 In-Pond Skimmer provides surface skimming for garden ponds where a built-in skimmer is not available or where a retrofit solution is preferred. Installed directly in the pond, it collects leaves and other floating debris in a removable debris basket before the water moves through the connected pump system.
The telescoping center pipe allows the skimmer height to be adjusted, and the self-adjusting floating sleeve accommodates up to 6 in. of water-level fluctuation. A large receptacle base can be weighted with rocks, bricks, or pieces of concrete to help hold the skimmer in place. Because the unit is installed in the pond, no liner cutting or structural modification is required.
The PS300 is designed for pond surface areas up to 300 sq. ft. and works with pump flow rates from 1,500 to 4,000 GPH. It includes a stepped hosetail for 1 in., 1-1/4 in., and 1-1/2 in. connections. Regular debris-basket cleaning is required to maintain skimming performance.
How it works
1. A connected pump creates water draw through the PS300 In-Pond Skimmer.
2. Surface water enters through the floating sleeve, which self-adjusts with changes in water level.
3. Leaves and other floating debris are collected in the removable debris basket.
4. Water continues through the center pipe and outlet to the connected pump system.
5. The floating sleeve allows up to 6 in. of water-level fluctuation while maintaining surface skimming.
Assembly and installation
1. Assemble the fitting onto the base of the skimmer.
2. Assemble the center pipe and place the debris basket and floating sleeve into position.
3. Assemble the center pipe onto the base of the skimmer.
4. Place the skimmer in the desired location within the pond, preferably at a depth between 24–36 in. Use a flat surface and level with small rocks if needed.
5. Weigh down the skimmer by placing rocks, bricks, or pieces of concrete in the base receptacle.
6. Connect the skimmer to a pump using flexible or hard PVC pipe (not included). Pump flow must remain within the recommended 1,500–4,000 GPH range.
Cleaning and maintenance
Unplug power to the pump before maintenance. General maintenance is recommended every 1–2 weeks, depending on conditions. Pull the floating sleeve up and off the center pipe, remove the debris basket, manually remove collected debris, and rinse the basket in a bucket of pond water or with a garden hose if needed. Reassemble in reverse order.
