BactiMAX+ is a concentrated beneficial bacteria treatment for ponds designed to digest fish waste, suspended dead organics, and other material that can contribute to cloudy water and increased pond maintenance.
The natural bacterial blend supports the pond’s existing nitrogen cycle and helps strengthen biological filtration. Within the biofilter, beneficial bacteria convert ammonia and nitrite as part of the normal nitrification process, helping maintain more stable water conditions for koi and goldfish.
As a liquid live bacteria treatment, BactiMAX+ starts working immediately when added to the water. It can be applied directly to the biological filter or added to an area with strong water circulation for even distribution.
Regular use helps reduce organic waste, support koi pond filter performance, and maintain clearer, more balanced pond water. For initial treatment or seasonal startup, the recommended double application helps quickly seed the biological filtration system.
Optimal conditions are water temperatures above 45°F, pH 6.5–8.5, and dissolved oxygen above 5 ppm.

Routine application
Apply BactiMAX+ every two weeks. For the initial treatment of a new pond, or at the start of the season, double the application to seed your pond filter quickly.
Persistent problem application
If a problem arises between routine applications, apply BactiMAX+ at the prescribed rate every three (3) days until the pond becomes clear and ammonia and nitrite levels are reduced.
For best results
Apply BactiMAX+ directly into the filter if possible, or apply directly to the pond in an area of greatest circulation. Shake well before use.
