How to Use
- Test your pond’s KH and pH levels using a reliable test kit. Test at the same time each day — midday is recommended for accurate, consistent readings.
- Calculate your pond volume in gallons using the pond size calculation guide.
- Measure the correct BuffMAX dose based on your pond volume using the application rate chart.
- Dissolve the measured dose in a bucket of pond water before adding to the pond for even distribution.
- Add the dissolved solution to areas of active water flow — near waterfalls, pump returns, or aeration points.
- Apply once weekly for routine KH and pH maintenance.
- For ongoing pH instability: apply up to every 3 days at the standard rate until pH stabilizes and remains consistently in the safe range.
- Retest KH and pH regularly. Target KH above 8 dKH for healthy biological activity. Safe pH range for pond fish and plants is 6.5–8.5.
