The natural bacterial blend helps break down leaves, twigs, muck, and other seasonal organic debris while supporting biological activity at lower water temperatures.
Regular use helps reduce the amount of organic material that remains in the pond through winter and can make spring startup easier.
Apply when pond water falls below 60°F, during autumn pond preparation, and again as needed in early spring. Add once per month when no ice is present or apply weekly when additional treatment is required.
Optimal conditions are water temperatures between 35°F and 60°F, pH 6.5–8.5, and dissolved oxygen around 5 ppm.
How to Use For Optimal Results
- Begin applying CoolBIO when water temperature falls below 60°F in late summer or early fall. Also apply when prepping the pond for spring as water begins to warm.
- Confirm that no ice is present on the pond surface before applying.
- Drop one pre-measured packet directly into the pond or filtration system — no measuring or preparation needed. The water-soluble outer layer dissolves on contact with water.
- For monthly maintenance (fall/winter): add one packet per 1,000–5,000 gallons once per month while water temperature remains between 35°F and 60°F.
- For faster results or heavy organic buildup: apply one packet once per week until the desired result is achieved, then resume monthly maintenance dosing.
- Apply in areas of active water flow — near pump inlets, filtration chambers, or aeration points — for best distribution.
- Avoid inhaling product dust. Wash hands with soap and water after handling.
