Easy to install and maintain
Setting up reliable pond filtration doesn’t have to mean piecing together separate components. The Ultra Series Clear Water Pump & Filter Kit combines a filtration/waterfall pump and a pressurized filter with a built-in UV clarifier into a single, ready-to-connect pond pump and filter kit, designed for ponds and water features that already have a shell, liner, or formed concrete base in place. The pump uses a non-clogging, vortex-style impeller to keep debris from building up at the intake, while the filter’s UV clarifier works to control green water by exposing algae to ultraviolet light as it passes through.
A viewing window on the filter lets you confirm the UV clarifier is operating, best checked at night when the glow is easiest to see. Routine cleaning is handled through a built-in backwash system: switching the filter to backwash mode and turning the handle rinses the filter media without needing to open the canister for everyday maintenance. The filter housing can also be partially buried next to the pond, keeping this pond filtration kit out of view while it works. Each kit includes non-kink pond hose, hose clamps, and a bottle of BactiMAX beneficial bacteria to help establish biological activity in the pond and filter once the system is up and running. Sizes range from small water features to larger koi ponds, so it’s worth matching pond volume, sun exposure, and fish load to the size chart before choosing a model.
How it works
