How it works
- The air pump draws in ambient air and compresses it using a rubber diaphragm system.
- Compressed air is pushed through airline tubing connected to the pump’s outlet(s).
- A check valve in the line prevents water from siphoning back into the pump when it’s switched off.
- Air travels through the tubing to a weighted, self-righting air stone positioned on the pond floor.
- The air stone diffuses the air into a steady stream of fine bubbles, increasing surface agitation and oxygen exchange.
- Rising bubbles help circulate water and prevent stagnant, oxygen-poor zones, supporting fish health and beneficial bacteria.

Before installing: always disconnect the power supply before installation or maintenance, keep the pump in a dry location, and never submerge it in water.
1. Choose a dry, protected spot for the air pump — ideally elevated above the pond’s high-water line and shielded from direct rain. The pump itself must never be submerged.
2. If the pump must be positioned below the pond’s water level, install the included check valve in the air line close to the pump. This prevents water from siphoning back into the pump when it’s switched off.
3. Connect the airline tubing to the pump’s outlet barb(s). The PA7 has a single outlet with one 15 ft hose; the PA14 has two outlets, each fitted with its own 15 ft hose for dual-point aeration.
4. Run the tubing to the pond, keeping it away from sharp edges, foot traffic, and areas where it could be pinched or damaged.
5. Attach a weighted, self-righting air stone to the free end of each hose. The weighted base keeps the stone upright and in place on the pond floor.
6. Position each air stone at a depth of 2–4 feet for best performance, spacing multiple stones around the pond to maximize circulation.
7. Plug the pump into a nearby GFCI-protected outlet and confirm a steady stream of bubbles is rising from each air stone.
8. Check airflow periodically, and clean the air stones and hose regularly. Keep spare diaphragms and an air filter on hand for routine maintenance.
